The mission of the Black Mountain Croquet Club is to promote the sport of croquet by fostering a welcoming and enjoyable environment for adult players of all skill levels. We celebrate the tradition of croquet while encouraging sportsmanship, community engagement, and personal growth through recreational and competitive play.

1990: Five gentlemen from the Asheville Croquet Club joined the United States Croquet Association (USCA).
1991: In partnership with the Town of Black Mountain, funds are raised to build a dedicated court; the Black Mountain Croquet Club is officially born.
1992: The club hosts its grand opening celebration in April.
1993: Additional fundraising secures the construction of the club pavilion.
Over the years, our members have taken their skills to the highest levels, producing several national croquet champions alongside numerous tournament winners.
